Mr. Ashwani Sehgal, Managing Director, a Mechanical Engineer graduated from Punjab University, embarked on his professional journey in 1986 with Punjab Tractor Limited (PTL). After six years at PTL, he ventured into entrepreneurship by founding his own company, Alpex Solar Limited (formerly Alpex Solar Private Limited), in 1993.

Ashwani's extensive travels around the world have made him acutely aware of the detrimental impacts of global warming, resource depletion, and the pressing need for green energy solutions. This awareness has been a driving force behind his commitment to the renewable energy sector.

In his pursuit to make a meaningful contribution, he has focused on promoting clean and green energy, initially in wind energy and subsequently in solar energy. His company specializes in manufacturing solar panels and solar-based water pumps. With a remarkable career spanning 34 years, 16 of which have been dedicated to the solar business, Ashwani possesses a wealth of experience in the field.
Furthermore, Ashwani Sehgal serves as the President of the Indian Solar Manufacturers Association ISMA), where he plays a pivotal role in advocating for favorable government policies that benefit solar manufacturers. His impeccable reputation within the solar manufacturing industry has solidified his position as a respected leader.

In ISMA he is a GC-member, the coordinator and the spokesperson for the Association. Mr. Deepesh Nanda is the President-Renewables at Tata Power and the CEO & MD of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited. Deepesh is an accomplished professional in the energy industry, with 29 years of experience. Previously, Deepesh served as the Chief Executive Officer of GE Gas Power in South Asia. In this role, he oversaw GE's operations in vital regions, including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, and Nepal. On a broader scale, at the Asia level, Deepesh Nanda served as the President & Chief Executive Officer for GE's Aero-derivative Gas Turbine business segment. Early in his career, Deepesh worked with industry stalwarts Flowserve and Tyco, eventually rising to lead the Tyco Sanmar P&L division before joining General Electric.

Deepesh holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical & Production Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India, as well as an M.B.A. from the esteemed OUBS in Milton Keynes, UK. Additionally, Deepesh has undergone extensive GE Crotonville training, including marquee leadership programs.

As the CEO of Adani Solar, Anil Gupta has been instrumental in driving sustained growth of the complete solar manufacturing business of the Adani Group. He continues to drive and influence the Technology Selection, Procurement & Supply Chain diversification, Production and Operations, Digital initiatives and Cost Control. An astute strategist, he has been at the heart of decision making for strategic expansion of the solar manufacturing business and geographical diversification of markets.

Prior to his current position, he has led the Adani Infrastructure Management Services Limited (AIMSL) as its CEO. AIMSL operates and maintains Power, Transmission and Renewable assets with an operational portfolio of 14,000+ ckt. kms. of transmission lines, 19,000+ MVA capacity of substations and 8 GW of solar & wind generation plants. During his stint at AIMSL, among the other notable contributions, he is credited with creation of the Energy Network Operations Centre (ENOC) for remote monritoring and control of energy assetss.

Mr. P K Kheruka is Vice-Chairman & Promoter Director of Gujarat Borosil Limited, and Borosil Glass Works Ltd. Both companies are listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

He has been actively managing glass manufacturing companies where his family has held controlling interest for over four decades. His experience spans a wide variety of regular soda lime and specialty glasses, produced from end fired and cross-fired fossil fuel burning furnaces, as well as cold top electric melting furnaces. It encompasses melting and forming several glass compositions ranging across soda lime flint, to a variety of tinted, opal, medium and low-expansion borosilicate glasses, ranging from high heat absorbing to low iron compositions with a very high transmission of solar energy. He has in-depth knowledge of the glass marketing scenario in domestic as well as international markets. His work has taken him to all the major glass consuming markets in the world in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. He has served as President of the All India Glass Manufacturers Federation as well as of the All India Flat Glass Manufacturers Association. He is currently the Chairman of the Glass Panel in CAPEXIL, and a committee member of the Governing Council of the All India Solar Manufacturers Association. He has served on the Committee of Bureau of Indian Standards and has also represented them at meetings in International Standards Organisation (ISO).


About Gujarat Borosil Limited

  • Manufacturer of high quality solar glass, fully tempered with optional anti-reflective coating (production capacity – 1 GW) used in the manufacture of solar photo voltaic panels, flat plate collectors used as a part of a solar water heating system, and for greenhouses.

A student of Engineering, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in the same and then went on to pursue a Post-Graduation in Marketing. Part of the Enpee Group for over 20 years now, he has worked in leadership roles across India and Africa and has led his team as Managing Director in Nigeria and South Africa as well. He also holds the distinction of being the founding member of the India – South Africa business forum, in South Africa.

Prior to joining the ENPEE Group, he developed his experience by working in diverse positions in Larsen & Toubro and Wärtsilä.
